šŸŒ The Full Moon in Scorpio

The Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon are directly opposite each other in the sky, creating a powerful cosmic opposition. Right now, we have the Sun in grounded Taurus while the Moon illuminates the depths of transformative Scorpio.

This opposition represents a fundamental energetic tension that we all feel. The Sun—representing our conscious awareness, clarity, and present focus—is in stubborn, practical Taurus. Meanwhile, the Moon—symbolizing our emotional undercurrents, subconscious patterns, and receptive energies—is in probing, transformative Scorpio.

šŸ‚ The Cosmic Tension: Taurus vs. Scorpio šŸ¦‚

The Sun in Taurus encourages stability, practicality, and presence. Think of Taurus as the unmovable bull—steady, stubborn, and firmly anchored in physical reality. Taurus energy slows things down after the fast-paced Aries season, helping us take stock of what we have and what we can create. It's about being unshakable, practical, and sensually connected to the present moment.

In contrast, the Moon in Scorpio represents the phoenix—constantly transforming, changing, and rising from the ashes. While Taurus is rooted and unchanging, Scorpio seeks transformation at all costs. Scorpio energy digs beneath the surface, searching for secrets and hidden truths.

During any Full Moon, something comes to a head. Information is revealed. Changes and releases need to happen. This particular Full Moon asks us: what needs to be released so we can become more grounded and present in our Taurus-ruled areas of life? For me, the theme of this full moon is interrogation. When you ask yourself what needs to be released, unleash the moon in Scorpio's ability to probe — but do it in a Taurus fashion! See the next section for advice on how.

šŸ” The Power of Presence & Interrogation šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø

This Full Moon centers around the theme of interrogation—not in a harsh way, but as a method of uncovering truth. The key insight is this: while Scorpio typically wants to dig through the past and uncover secrets, the Sun in Taurus reminds us that the most powerful truths are found in the present moment.

Consider this example: If you want to know if someone is being truthful, the Scorpio approach might be to investigate their past, check their messages, or look for inconsistencies in their stories. But the Taurus approach would be simpler and more direct: hold their hand, ask the question directly, and feel their physical response in the moment. Are they tense? Is their heart racing? The truth is in the present, physical reality. If you can't take their hand, take yours: do you trust them? No research out there in the physical world will help you feel better if you don't trust them on a fundamental level. It's time to either work out your trust issues or set boundaries in the relationship.

Similarly, when questioning yourself about important life decisions—whether to take a job, move to a new place, or commit to a relationship—the answer might not be found through complex Scorpio detective work. Instead, the Sun in Taurus approach suggests sitting with yourself in stillness and noticing your body's physical response. Which option allows your body to feel most relaxed? That physical response contains your truth. Not sure if you can trust your own responses? This is a powerful full moon for realizing disconnections to self and reaching out to people — therapists, guides — who can help you come back to center.

⚔ Other Planetary Influences During this Full Moon 🪐

Adding another layer to this Full Moon, the Sun is conjunct Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is the rebel planet that breaks patterns and introduces unexpected changes. This conjunction adds an experimental edge to typically routine-loving Taurus energy. It's pushing us to engage with our senses in new ways and to step out of our comfort zones.

Meanwhile, Venus (ruler of Taurus) is in Aries, and Mars (ruler of Scorpio) is in Leo—both fire signs creating a harmonious trine. This indicates that despite the tension of the Full Moon, there's a cooperative energy flowing beneath the surface. There's passion, creativity, joy, and a desire to get along, suggesting that whatever revelations come from this Full Moon will ultimately lead to positive action and inspiration.

We can also see a loose T-square with Mars to the Full Moon, but Mars is trining Venus. When we see a T-square, we look to the missing zodiac sign—in this case, Aquarius—for solutions. With the Sun conjunct Uranus (ruler of Aquarius), innovation, technology, and finding new ways to use these tools in healthy, sustainable ways may provide resolution to tensions arising during this time.

Following the chain of planetary rulers reveals more about the energy flow: The Sun in Taurus is ruled by Venus in Aries, which is ruled by Mars in Leo, which brings us back to the Sun. This circuit of Sun-Venus-Mars creates a magnetic, creative energy focused on attraction and manifestation. This Full Moon is asking us to become conscious of subconscious patterns that block our manifestation abilities: awareness is the greatest release from illusion.
