Week of September 2
Mercury in Leo trines Chiron in Aries at 9:46 AM on September 2 — Healing conversations?
Mercury trined Chiron twice already thanks to the retrograde, July 18 and August 23, so think back to these dates because similar themes could be revisited! A healing, clarifying conversation could take place. We could find the closure or comfort we seek. Minds and hearts are open. We could discover a fantastic book or podcast that helps us learn more about our wounds and talents.
The new moon in Virgo takes place at 9:55 PM on September 2 — Create a clean slate the Virgo way: with a fistful of disinfecting wipes.
A fresh start is here! A new moon in Virgo does clean slates like no other. Whether you have a new job, a fresh start in a partnership, or are embracing a new healthy habit, the expectations, responsibilities, and overall vibe could be very clear-headed, logical, and free from old baggage.
Celebrate this new moon by doing a deep cleaning of your home. Let this new moon smell like fresh linen or chemically concocted lemon. I’ve yet to meet a Virgo who didn’t love the smell of bleach in a bathroom. Scrub it all up!
The moon symbolizes emotion, and a new moon represents a fresh start. Virgo is aligned with The Hermit in the tarot: Take some time alone to reflect. Remember that true knowledge comes from within, not from books or astrology newsletters.
Mars enters Cancer at 3:46 PM on September 4 — The crab’s claws pinch!
Whoever regards the crab as a puny, unworthy opponent does not know how fiercely those claws pinch or how tough that shell is! The crab is a mighty warrior, as sensitive and mushy as their insides be. People could be incredibly defensive and snappy during this period, but this alignment could also find us making great strides toward building peace, community, security, and happy homes.
Venus opposes the North Node in Aries at 5:19 PM on September 4 — Release invites embrace?
An opposition to the Node Node equals a conjunction to the South Node. What does this mean in plain English? We might let go of a dream while starting fresh with the past. We could end old habits at this time while exploring new fantasies and opportunities.
Mercury in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus at 12:20 AM on September 7 — Surprise!
Mercury has already squared Uranus twice this summer, thanks to the retrograde: July 21 and August 18. Think back to these dates as similar themes and threads could be revisited. Surprising news could arrive, and unexpected invitations could be extended. We might run into some annoying people; however, we could also connect with some very brilliant, eccentric rebel types too!
The sun in Virgo opposes Saturn in Pisces at 12:34 AM on September 8 — Ouch!
I hate this alignment! The sun wants to shine, but Saturn is like a big wall blocking the rays. This alignment could spell obstacles and gloom. If you’ve done a lousy job, someone could be all too pleased to tell you about it. I guess the "positive” is that we will learn where we need improvement in our work! This is also a very productive time to set boundaries and say (or bark, Saturn loves to bark) no. Work with this alignment mindfully by reflecting on themes like responsibility, time, and karma.
