📚Gemini season just wrapped up, so you know books are on my mind! Here’s what I’ve got on the docket:
— A Black Girl in the Middle by Shenequa Golding Golding is a first generation Jamaican American New Yorker who relates her experience “in the middle” of the expectations of Black womanhood in her first memoir.
— Matrescence by Lucy Jones Part memoir, part survey of the state of birth and parenting in the 21st century, this book is like an unintentional grimoire of natural history and motherhood.
— Help Wanted by Adelle Waldman Haven’t started this one yet! Heard about it from
: Get It Write. This novel is about a group of workers at a big box store who are trying to get ahead in their careers.⛲️Marissa Zappas Perfume
Marissa Zappas relaunched her perfume line! She and I collaborated on a perfume together (she designed the scent for my vision) called Annabel’s Birthday Cake. Everyone loved it! Her whole collection has been relaunched and the bottles redesigned. I love the harlequin clown on the new bottle of Annabel’s Birthday Cake. Give it a look!
🕯️Snakes for Hair
If you’re looking for a gorgeous candle to cozify your space during Cancer season, you know I love Snakes for Hair. There’s a Summer Solstice candle, if you want to be season specific in your candle shopping! We’ve done collabs, too. I’m picking up two tumblers from her imminently, Arabian Woods and Golden Lemon.
