🌕Catch my full moon thoughts here at my April Overview🌕
“Full Moon Shopping Spree” is my monthly recap of things I bought or wanted to buy, received as a gift, or otherwise acquired or explored. It’s a peek at my life! And hopefully it will be useful to you somehow.
📚 Awaken Healing Energy Through The Tao: The Taoist Secret of Circulating Internal Power I became obsessed with orgone and orgonite, which turned into a fascination with life force, which lead to me Mantak Chia’s work. It has transformed my life. I cannot tell you what an impact smiling at my organs has made on my days. I had never heard of this concept before, but it blew my mind. I think it’s fair to describe smiling at your organs as more or less a body scan meditation? Somatic practices that promote interoceptive awareness apparently are amazing for staying grounded and keeping anxiety at bay. To be clear, this book has nothing to do with orgone or orgonite; however, I’m so glad those pretty resin pyramids placed me on a winding path that led to his work.
☄️ The recording of Rod Chang speaking about Comets at the Big Apple Astrology Meet Up is available! You just have to email the organizer of the Big Apple Astro Meet Up, Daniel Larkin, at Danielblarkin@gmail.com, and purchase it from him directly. The fee is a $5 minimum donation.
The live streamed lectures Big Apple Astro puts together are one of the best deals you can get if you’re studying astrology. Seriously affordable, quality content. You owe it to yourself to at least investigate their offerings if you are a serious student of astrology. You can get on the mailing list for these lectures by joining the group on meetup.com (should I pester the Big Apple Astro Group to join Substack? hmm…)
💻 Daniel is also teaching a live, online astrological magick course starting May 13. The topics cover themes like gems, aromatherapy, and orphic hymns. He’ll share astrological magick’s Egyptian origins to fashion magick you can wear today. The cost is $200. Learn more here: https://dannylarkin.com/astrological-magic-course/
🧃 I think most sweeteners, aside from cane sugar, are pretty gross. I’m not a stevia girl. I suffer through erythritol in my protein powder, but I’m not happy about it. But monk fruit is okay! I thought Sun Sip’s Cherry Cola, a probiotic fizzy drink (sweetened with less than 5 grams of monk fruit and cane sugar) was delicious and actually tasted a bit like cherry cola! Sun Sip is a drink from Health-Ade, the company that also make my favorite kombuchas: Pink Lady Apple, Berry Lemonade, and Pomegranate.
